The Genius Design of Communist Kiosks

Between 1966 and 1967 Saša Mächtig designed an icon. He created a Kiosk that no one had ever seen before. He designed it in Yugoslavia, a country with a socialist regime and an unorthodox collectivist economy. The Kiosk appeared from the outside to be an incubator of capitalism, something that spit in the face of the country in which was created. If that's the case, why did this Kiosk come to exist, and what can it tell us about Yugoslavia itself?
