About Me

I’m Alexander Casse. A 25-year-old Swiss video producer and generalist. I have three years of experience running my own YouTube channel IMPERIAL, supplemented by a year’s work as the Chief Marketing Officer of CSRN, a COVID-era student response network recognised by former Prime Minister Boris Johnson (Points of Light Award).

I started my YouTube channel as a passion project, but it quickly grew into something far larger than that. Recently I started building a team. I was faced with a decision to raise money through external sources so that I could scale it, or move on to a new challenge. Believing that the presence of investors might restrict my creative freedoms, I decided against it.

The experience gave me perspective. In the beginning I wanted to make incisive political content that could help explain the complexities of politics and history, but as my channel grew larger, that focus was diluted by business realities. Now, I want to return to my roots and use the skills I learned in the digital world to help traditional media produce journalistic content for a new era.
